Terms of Service

Good stewardship starts with clear expectations.

These terms explain the relationship between Disciplo, participating churches, authorized users, and people who receive communications through the platform.

Effective August 22, 2026 United States Meks Group LLC

Agreement and definitions

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between Meks Group LLC, doing business as Disciplo (“Disciplo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and the person or organization using the services (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”).

These Terms apply to getdisciplo.com, Disciplo applications, related support, and SMS or email communications delivered through Disciplo (collectively, the “Services”). By creating an account, signing an order form, selecting a paid plan, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

An order form, plan page, data-processing agreement, or other written agreement accepted by both parties may add to these Terms. If there is a direct conflict, the more specific written agreement controls for that subject.

CustomerThe church, ministry, organization, or individual that creates or pays for a Disciplo account.
Authorized UserA staff member, volunteer, contractor, or other person the Customer permits to use its account.
Customer DataInformation, files, messages, records, and content submitted to the Services by or for the Customer.
RecipientA member, guest, parent, volunteer, donor, or other person receiving a message through Disciplo.

Eligibility, authority, and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement to create an account. If you use Disciplo for a church or another organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate account, billing, and contact information and keeping it current.
  • Choosing authorized users, assigning appropriate permissions, and promptly removing access that is no longer needed.
  • Protecting credentials and notifying us promptly of suspected unauthorized access.
  • All activity performed through the account, except to the extent caused by Disciplo’s breach of these Terms.

Accounts are intended for authorized adult users. Children may be included in church-managed records, but children may not independently create or administer Disciplo accounts.

License and permitted use

Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, Disciplo grants the Customer a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right during the subscription term to access and use the Services for the Customer’s internal church, ministry, and administrative purposes.

The Customer may permit Authorized Users to use the Services on its behalf. The Customer remains responsible for their compliance. No right is granted to resell, sublicense, white-label, or provide the Services to another organization unless Disciplo agrees in writing.

We may improve, modify, replace, or discontinue features. We will use reasonable efforts to provide notice when a material change substantially reduces core functionality during a paid subscription.

Church data, children, and privacy

As between Disciplo and the Customer, the Customer retains its rights in Customer Data. The Customer gives Disciplo permission to host, copy, transmit, display, process, and otherwise use Customer Data only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, support, and improve the Services; comply with law; and follow the Customer’s lawful instructions.

The Customer represents that it has the rights, notices, permissions, and consents needed to submit and use Customer Data, including member, guest, donor, health or allergy, pastoral care, prayer, giving, messaging, and children’s information. The Customer is responsible for obtaining parental or guardian permission where required and for restricting sensitive records to appropriate roles.

Our collection and handling practices are described in the Privacy Policy & Messaging Terms. When Disciplo processes congregation records for a church, the church generally determines the purpose of the processing and Disciplo acts as its service provider or processor.

Data minimization

Do not enter information that is not reasonably necessary for church administration or ministry. Disciplo is not a substitute for emergency services, professional medical records, or systems that require a specialized legal compliance framework unless separately agreed in writing.

Acceptable use

You may not use the Services to:

  • Break the law; violate another person’s privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, or contractual rights; or facilitate fraud.
  • Send spam, purchased-list messages, or communications without the permission required for the sender, recipient, channel, and purpose.
  • Harass, threaten, exploit, discriminate against, deceive, or harm any person, including a child or vulnerable person.
  • Upload malicious code, interfere with service operation, bypass security, probe for vulnerabilities, or access accounts or information without authorization.
  • Scrape, copy, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code except where a restriction is prohibited by law.
  • Use the Services to build or benchmark a competing product without our written permission.
  • Rely on automated scores, summaries, or suggestions as the sole basis for a safeguarding, medical, legal, financial, employment, or other high-impact decision.

We may investigate suspected misuse and cooperate with lawful requests. Customers must reasonably assist in addressing abuse associated with their accounts.

SMS and email messaging terms

Disciplo enables Customers to send transactional, informational, customer-care, and promotional communications. The Customer is the sender when it selects recipients and message content. The Customer must identify itself at the point of opt-in and in messages where required.

Consent and program scope

Before sending a message, the Customer must obtain and retain consent appropriate to the specific sender, recipient, channel, program, and purpose. Transactional or informational SMS and marketing or promotional SMS require separate choices when both are offered. SMS and email consent must not be combined into one required choice. Consent must be voluntary and is not a condition of purchase, donation, account creation, or an unrelated service.

Program description

Depending on the program selected, SMS messages may include service or event reminders, follow-up and care messages, account alerts, check-in or giving confirmations, support messages, announcements, newsletters, ministry updates, fundraising communications, or promotional offers.

Frequency and charges

Message frequency varies based on the program selected, recipient interactions, and church activity. Message and data rates may apply.

SMS opt-out and help

Recipients may reply STOP to unsubscribe from the applicable SMS program. One final confirmation may be sent, after which no further messages may be sent for that program unless the recipient opts in again. Reply HELP for help or email support@getdisciplo.com.

Delivery

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on carrier networks, devices, coverage, and other factors outside our control.

Email requirements

Commercial email must accurately identify the sender, use a non-deceptive subject line, include the sender’s valid postal address and a working unsubscribe method, and honor valid marketing opt-out requests within 10 business days. Essential transactional or security email may continue after a marketing opt-out.

Mobile information disclosure

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the text messaging services.

Subscriptions, Stripe payments, refunds, and cancellation

Plans, prices, and billing periods

Paid features, plan limits, prices, billing intervals, minimum commitments, usage-based or overage charges, and applicable taxes are disclosed at checkout, on the applicable plan page, or in an order form. A subscription may be billed monthly, annually, or on another interval expressly shown before purchase. Unless stated otherwise, fees are charged in U.S. dollars.

Meks Group LLC, doing business as Disciplo, is the seller of the Services. Stripe provides payment-processing technology but is not the seller of Disciplo subscriptions and does not determine our cancellation, service, or refund policies.

Stripe payment processing

We use Stripe as our third-party payment processor. When you submit a payment method, you represent that you are authorized to use it and authorize Disciplo and Stripe to store the payment credentials or payment token and charge the method for the initial purchase, recurring subscription fees, approved plan changes, disclosed usage charges, taxes, and other amounts due under these Terms. You do not need a separate Stripe account to purchase the Services.

Payment-card and bank-account information is submitted directly to Stripe or its payment partners. Disciplo does not receive or store the complete card number. Stripe’s processing of payment information is governed by its applicable services terms and privacy notice. A charge may appear on a statement using the descriptor displayed during checkout or on the receipt.

Receipts and billing information

Stripe or Disciplo may send an electronic receipt, invoice, renewal notice, payment-failure notice, or other billing communication to the email address associated with the account. You are responsible for keeping billing, tax, and contact information current and for reviewing receipts and invoices for accuracy.

Free trials and promotional pricing

If a plan includes a free trial or promotional period, checkout will disclose its duration, eligibility requirements, the price that applies afterward, and whether it converts automatically to a paid subscription. When automatic conversion is disclosed and you provide payment authorization, we may charge the applicable subscription price when the trial or promotion ends unless you cancel before the displayed expiration time. If automatic conversion is not offered, paid access begins only after you affirmatively select a paid plan.

Trials and promotions may be limited to one per Customer, church, payment method, or account. We may revoke a trial or promotion obtained through fraud, duplication, or other abuse.

Automatic renewal

Unless checkout or an order form states that a plan is non-renewing, each paid subscription automatically renews for successive periods equal to the selected billing interval until canceled. By purchasing an automatically renewing subscription, you expressly authorize recurring charges without a separate approval before each renewal. The renewal date and amount are shown at checkout, in the billing account or portal when available, on an invoice, or in an order form.

A minimum commitment applies only when it is clearly disclosed before purchase or included in an order form. If an annual commitment is payable in monthly installments, cancellation prevents renewal of the next annual term but does not eliminate installments owed for the current committed term unless the order form states otherwise.

Plan upgrades, downgrades, and usage charges

The billing screen or order form will identify when a plan change takes effect and whether it creates a prorated charge, credit, new billing date, or new commitment. Upgrades may take effect immediately. Downgrades generally take effect at the next renewal unless stated otherwise. A displayed account credit is not cash, is not transferable, and is not refundable unless required by law.

If a plan includes metered, usage-based, or overage fees, you remain responsible for charges incurred through the effective cancellation date. Those amounts may be invoiced or charged after access ends because final usage can be calculated after the billing period closes.

How to cancel

You may cancel an automatically renewing subscription at any time through the account billing controls or Stripe-hosted customer portal when available, or by emailing support@getdisciplo.com. Include the church or organization name and the account email. A cancellation request received before the renewal date will stop the next renewal even if our confirmation is sent later.

Unless we expressly agree to immediate termination, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period or committed term. You may continue using paid features until that date, and your payment method will not be charged for a later renewal. Deleting an application, removing a payment method, becoming inactive, or asking a bank to stop payment does not by itself cancel a subscription. Cancellation is complete when the billing account shows it as scheduled or canceled, or when we confirm it in writing.

Refund policy

Except where required by law, stated in a written refund offer or order form, or necessary to correct a verified duplicate or incorrect charge, subscription fees and usage charges are non-refundable. We do not provide prorated refunds or credits for a partially used billing period, unused features, an early cancellation, a downgrade, inactivity, or a Customer’s failure to cancel before renewal.

To report a duplicate, incorrect, or unauthorized charge, email support@getdisciplo.com promptly with the account email, charge date, amount, and the last four digits of the payment method. Do not send a complete card or bank-account number. This notice process does not limit any non-waivable rights under applicable law.

We may grant a refund or account credit in our discretion, but doing so once does not require us to do so again. Approved refunds are submitted through Stripe to the original payment method. The financial institution or payment network controls when the refund becomes available, and changing or closing the original payment method may delay delivery.

Failed, expired, or declined payments

If a charge fails, Stripe or Disciplo may retry the payment method and send notices asking you to update it. We may suspend or limit paid features after reasonable notice while an amount remains overdue. Cancellation does not eliminate charges incurred before its effective date. You remain responsible for lawful costs of collecting undisputed overdue amounts, if any, to the extent permitted by law.

Taxes and price changes

Prices exclude sales, use, value-added, and similar transaction taxes unless expressly stated. You are responsible for applicable taxes other than taxes based on our net income. We or Stripe may calculate, collect, and remit taxes based on billing information and legal requirements.

We may change a subscription price or plan structure for a future renewal period. We will provide reasonable advance notice of a material price increase to the account contact. The new price applies at the next renewal after the notice period. You may cancel before that renewal if you do not accept the change.

Payment disputes and chargebacks

Please contact support@getdisciplo.com first so we can investigate a billing concern. Opening a chargeback or payment dispute does not cancel the underlying subscription; you must also cancel using one of the methods above. We may suspend access while a payment dispute is pending and may provide Stripe and the payment network with transaction, account, consent, service-usage, cancellation, and communication records reasonably needed to respond. Nothing in this paragraph waives a right that cannot be waived by contract.

Third-party services and AI-assisted features

The Services rely on or may connect with third-party providers, including hosting, database, payment, SMS, email, authentication, and other infrastructure providers. Our current service-provider categories are described in the Privacy Policy. Third-party products that you independently enable may have separate terms and privacy practices.

AI-assisted features

Some features may transcribe, extract, summarize, classify, draft, score, or organize content. Automated output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for a particular situation. Customers must review output before using or sharing it and remain responsible for decisions, communications, records, and actions taken from it.

You must have the necessary rights and permissions for information submitted to an AI-assisted feature. Do not use automated output as the sole basis for pastoral care, child safety, medical, legal, financial, employment, or other high-impact decisions.

Intellectual property and feedback

Disciplo and its licensors own the Services, software, visual design, documentation, trademarks, and all related intellectual-property rights, excluding Customer Data. These Terms grant access rights only and do not transfer ownership.

If you provide ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you grant Disciplo a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use it without restriction or compensation. This does not give us ownership of Customer Data or confidential church records.

Disciplo names, logos, and branding may not be used in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation without written permission.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Services at any time and may cancel a subscription as described above. We may suspend or restrict access when reasonably necessary to address a security risk, prevent harm, comply with law, investigate misuse, enforce these Terms, or address overdue fees. When practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure.

We may terminate an account for a material breach that is not cured within a reasonable period after notice, or immediately when continued access creates material legal, security, or safety risk.

Before termination, Customers should export Customer Data using available tools. After termination, we may delete or de-identify Customer Data according to our retention practices and legal obligations. Sections that by their nature should survive—including payment obligations, ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, and disputes—will survive termination.

Warranties and disclaimers

We will provide the Services using commercially reasonable care. However, to the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” Disciplo disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Services will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure; that every message will be delivered; or that reports, engagement scores, AI-assisted output, or other results will be complete or accurate. These disclaimers do not limit rights or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Ministry judgment remains human

Disciplo helps churches organize information and follow-up. It does not replace pastoral judgment, safeguarding procedures, professional advice, emergency response, or the responsibility to care for people appropriately.

Limitation of liability and indemnity

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, or data, arising from the Services or these Terms, even if advised that such damages are possible.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Disciplo’s total aggregate liability arising from the Services or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts paid or payable by the Customer to Disciplo during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or (b) $100. These limits do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.

Customer indemnity

The Customer will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Meks Group LLC, Disciplo, and their officers, employees, and contractors from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from Customer Data, the Customer’s messaging or consent practices, the Customer’s violation of law or another person’s rights, or use of the Services in breach of these Terms. Disciplo will provide reasonable notice and cooperation, and the Customer may not settle a claim in a way that admits fault by Disciplo or imposes obligations on Disciplo without written consent.

Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Before filing a claim, each party agrees to provide written notice describing the dispute and to make a good-faith effort to resolve it informally for at least 30 days.

If the dispute is not resolved, the state and federal courts located in Shelby County, Tennessee will have exclusive jurisdiction, and each party consents to those courts. Either party may seek immediate injunctive or equitable relief to protect confidential information, security, or intellectual-property rights.

Nothing in this section prevents a person from using a small-claims court with proper jurisdiction or exercising a right that applicable law does not permit these Terms to restrict.

Changes, notices, and contact

We may update these Terms as the Services or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top shows the latest revision. If a change materially affects an existing paid subscription, we will provide notice through the Services, by email, or by another reasonable method before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

If any provision is unenforceable, it will be modified only as much as necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; Disciplo may assign them in connection with a merger, reorganization, financing, or sale of all or substantially all relevant assets. These Terms and any incorporated written agreements are the entire agreement concerning the Services.
